Personal, Private, One-On-One Training
Our team of instructors are skilled, knowledgeable and patient. All the instructors have many years of experience working in the field. In addition to all being certified and approved by the New Jersey State Department of Motor Vehicles, each is required to complete a rigorous in-house training program. We believe parents’ involvement is a key factor in teen driver safety. Parents are the unofficial “driving coaches” that help their teen learn to drive and lead the licensing process. We have the latest model cars, equipped with dual controls for your safety. Our office is conveniently located at: 75 Broadway Elmwood Park NJ. 07407.
About The Lessons
Driving lessons are conducted in our fully automatic, air conditioned, DMV approved, dual brake vehicles. We also offer and highway driving lessons. Lessons are given Monday through Sunday from early morning to darkness. Our driving instructors will either meet you at our office or pickup from a nearby location for the lesson. Instructors will practice basic driving skills and any specific maneuvers the student wants to learn and master. Make sure to communicate with your driving instructor so that they know what you are seeking.
**Remote Pickup/Drop Off is only available in Bergen,Passaic county’s and nearby areas. Call our office for options for further locations
Upon Completion
Upon completion of the lesson your instructor will give you a quick rundown of your performance, what areas, if any, you need to practice and answer any questions you may have. Please listen to the instructor’s feedback carefully so that you know how you are progressing in your preparation for the road test.

Road Test Service
When it comes time to take the NJ Road Test, Golden Wheel Driving School is ready to help. Golden Wheel Driving School will accompany the student at the time of the roadtest and provide a ‘Refresher Course’ review lesson, to ensure you have all the skills needed.
Students who completed the 6 hour program with Golden Wheel Driving School will need to schedule ONLINE with MVC
THIS SERVICE WAS NOT SCHEDULED WITH YOUR INSTRUCTOR AND CAN ONLY BE PROVIDED BY CONTACTING OUR OFFICE IN ADVANCE
The student will be picked up, given a thorough explanation of the Road Test, put behind-the-wheel to practice a simulated test. Wait in the DMV road test line (regardless of the wait time). Take the DMV Road Test in our vehicle. Because of the possible computer issues and often extensive wait time to process a license at the DMV agency, Golden Wheel Driving School is unable to assist with the processing of the license. The student can be taken to the processing line and will then have to be picked up, or the student can be taken back home and go to any DMV Agency and process at a later time.

16 YEAR OLD
Golden Wheel Driving School for 16 year old purchases permit on Student’s behalf through NJMVC once the student turns 16 by submitting a permit application card(available upon request) along with original primary ID (United States birth certificate, passport or green card)
DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAMS
We have programs designed for 16 year old students to obtain the NJ learners permit as well as adults needing a full training package or individual lessons. Our programs focus on both cognitive and skills based learning while providing the state-required minimum 6 hour behind the wheel training for new drivers.
NJ PERMIT TEST | VISION TEST
Skip the trip to the Motor Vehicles office when you work with Golden Wheel Drivng School. We offer both the written knowledge test (NJ Permit Test) and the vision test in our office! This allows you to spend more time driving and less time waiting on long lines to take the NJ permit test and vision tests prior to obtaining your NJ learners permit.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING
While 6 hours of behind the wheel training is the NJ state minimum required for new drivers, it is simply not enough for everyone. Golden Wheel Driving School understands that every student learns differently, and provides additional training lessons either by the hour or discounted by purchasing a multi-hour package.
